First Time Nanny Search Advice

Something I learned as I began the search for my perfect Nanny was that the Nanny Placement industry is extremely competitive. Unlike this very reasonably priced service for families, most Nanny Placement agencies receive a large "placement fee" once a family hires one of their Nanny candidates. With that being said, the best Nannies are hired QUICKLY!

Helpful Tips

  • Make initial contact sooner than later
  • Conduct a phone interview first to ensure the candidate meets your initial requirements
  • Set up an interview (Most Nanny Candidates have their information with multiple agencies) Again, the best Nannies are hired quickly!
  • If the interview goes well, you can offer a position contingent on a clean background check and after you verify all references.
  • To verify active parishioner status, contact the Nannies parish and as for a "current parishioner letter" be sent to you.
  • NEVER hire a Nanny without using a reliable background agency or verifying references. Your child’s well being is the most important responsibility you have as a parent!
